Wrong Relationship? How To Spot The Signs
If you are experiencing relationship issues you may actually be in the wrong relationship. It is not an easy question to ask yourself but it is a very important issue to face. You are better to move on than stay in a relationship that isn’t going anywhere.
It can take time to work out if you are with the right person for you. Relationships change, grow and develop but there are ways you can examine your relationship to help you decide if it right or wrong to continue investing yourself and your time in it.
The most important question you need to answer is whether you are really happy. That doesn’t mean you have to be on cloud nine everyday but generally are you happy and content when you are with your partner.
Examine your feelings about your partner and the relationship and work out if you feel more positive rather than negatively overall. It’s common to have aspects of your relationship or your partner’s personality that annoy you from time to time. Look past small things but if there are lots of things that you are worried about then you need to seriously think about how important they are.
Another relationship issue that you need to take note of is if you feel there are things missing in the relationship that you wish were there. It is a real warning sign to you if there are aspects missing that you really want or need to be happy. It is a dangerous thing that many people ignore because they think they can change their partner. Time does not always change things for the better and you won’t ever succeed if you are waiting for someone to change their personality or habits.
You must have full trust in your partner if your relationship is to be successful. If you have any worries that they do not tell you the truth or might physically hurt you, these are serious concerns that should raise a red flag for you. Everyone can make mistakes but if a relationship is not founded on complete trust it is unlikely to last and you are unlikely to be happy.
Make sure any suspicions you have are based on hard facts and actual incidents. Some people are naturally suspicious and if you are like that your relationship will suffer if your partner feels you don’t trust them. Also make sure your suspicions are not based on your own insecurities but rather on the actions of your partner.
Finally you do have real problems with relationship issues if your partner doesn’t make you feel special. If you always have to win their affection or attention something is really wrong. You need to weigh up your options and accept that this relationship is not for you. It is unlikely to be a lasting one or one that will make you happy in the long term.
